Holly introduced me to my first ceramics class at Springfield College, and she was right — I was completely hooked. I couldn’t put the clay down or stop imagining all the forms it could take. After graduating with an art minor, I continued studying ceramics at SUNY New Paltz and the University of Colorado Boulder, building my skills across both functional and sculptural work. Clay stayed at the center of everything, even as my path moved through different places and experiences. Today, I teach ceramics at Springfield College, and that commitment to education, experimentation, and material exploration is at the heart of everything I do. I’m deeply interested in helping people experience the full range of ceramics — from craft to fine art, from useful objects to expressive, conceptual forms.
