Satisfy Your Clay Curiosity!
Never taken a class at Studio 467 before? This is the perfect place to start! Our beginner pottery class introduces you to basic hand-building and/or wheel throwing (working on the potter’s wheel) techniques. Each class is shaped by students’ interests and goals, so no two sessions are alike. This class is designed specifically for those with no prior experience at Studio 467 even if you are a seasoned clay vet and are new to us this is the class for you.

Ready to make more? These ceramics classes are geared for students at all levels. While choosing your own projects you will learn more about how to work with clay to achieve your personal goals relating to form, surface, function, technique, and/or concept. Ceramics demonstrations will be driven by students’ interests and goals, so each class will be as unique as its participants.

Youth Clay Classes:
Youth Wheel Throwing (Ages 10–14)
Discover the exciting art of creating pottery on the potter's wheel! This six-week progressive course is designed for students ages 10–14 who are eager to learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing. Each week, students will build on the skills learned in the previous class, developing confidence while learning to center clay, pull walls, shape forms, trim, and glaze their finished pieces. Because each lesson builds upon the last, regular attendance is encouraged. Class size is limited to 7 students to provide plenty of individualized instruction.
Schedule: Tuesdays, September 8 – October 13 (6 weeks), 4:00–6:00 PM
Youth Hand building/Sculpture (Ages 10–14)
Bring your imagination to life with clay! This six-week hand building course introduces students ages 10–14 to a wide variety of ceramic techniques without using a potter's wheel. Students will explore pinch, coil, and slab construction while creating functional pottery, sculptures, animals, figures, and other creative projects. This class encourages artistic expression, problem-solving, and craftsmanship in a fun and supportive studio environment. No prior experience is necessary. Class size is limited to 10 students.

Curious about the pottery wheel? Join us for this beginners-only 8-week course. With just seven students per class, you’ll receive personalized instruction as you learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing—centering clay, pulling walls, and shaping forms like bowls, plates and cylinders.
Designed specifically for total beginners who want to learn alongside others at the same level, this class helps you build confidence and foundational skills. Each session includes demonstrations, hands-on practice, and time to develop your own projects. No experience necessary—just come ready to learn, create, and get a little messy!
Tuition: $385 for a 8 Classes

Private pottery lessons are perfect for you and a friend! Whether you’re trying something new or refining your skills, a pottery wheel lesson includes a demo, hands-on instruction, and plenty of practice time. Plus, private lessons make great gifts!
Note: Finishing, trimming, and firing and glazing fees start at $30 per piece. As part of the private lesson experience, the artist will carefully finish and glaze your work, ensuring it looks its best. Your finished pieces will be ready for pickup in 3-4 weeks, or we can ship them to you for an additional fee.
